Growing Up....

Why do they have to grow up... and why does it happen so fast??? Do you ever have one of those weeks where you realize that your babies are getting so big? I have had one of those weeks... I have realized that they are becoming true toddlers. I am fascinated daily with the skills they are mastering, I am one proud momma, even when they are throwing a full blown fit and testing their limits (and mine).

I was driving home from work today and I heard that country song, She Thinks We're Just Fishin' and this momma just started crying. Isn't it incredible how you can love your children in such a way that it hurts. I pray daily to be the best mother I can be and try my hardest to parent in a way that would make the Lord proud. I love these sweet girls so much, I am so blessed and grateful for them. Glory be to God for these two precious gifts he has given me. Thanks be to him!

Painting the Piggies
I finally did it, painted the girls toes & nails.
Adorable, and they LOVED it!!!

Crafts
Each day when get home from work I always attempt a craft with the girls. This was one of their favorite hobbies this summer so I didn't want them to have to sacrifice it because momma was at work. After they greet me they are both super quick to say, cwaft (craft) pay-dow (play-doh), cowns (crayons), thickers (stickers), shaypes (shapes), paaaint (paint)... you get the picture. All in all, these girls have some creative bones in their bodies (I think they get it from Kee Kee (Keely)!

Hands Down their Favorite...
Play Doh, with every accessory imaginable

 Dry Erase Boards
Target, dollar spot - Genius!

 Shapes
Working on color identification and shape recognition...
Tough Skills
Oh their differences...

On the days we don't craft after work, we might be found napping.... I was exhausted (first week of school) and the girls weren't quite finished with their nap.
 Splash Pad
So Much Fun!!!
Let's just say the girls ate this up!
This was one of those days were
your kids take the best naps!

Londyn had a bow but, she can't seem to keep it on.

Jumping
This is a new game invented by Miss Livi herself. It consists of jumping full force off of the ottoman into daddies arms, laugh like crazy, repeat... I prefer to call it trust building. Londyn on the other hand, she prefers to carefully fall into her daddies arms.

Chase, Tag, whatever its called...
The girls are OBSESSED with chasing each other and pushing one another to the ground. This a fine game to play at home or with one another... the problem is when they play it in mixed company. For some reason, they don't understand why they can't play it with complete strangers at the mall play area... or at gymnastics (wink wink, that's for my gymnastic friends).

Bompa/Pa LOVE
These girls love their pa & their bompa.
I think the feeling is mutual!

Reminder
My kids are obsessed with the Old Navy manequins, also know as their best friends. Londyn demands a pichure (picture) with them every time we are there.
I apologize for the picture quality, my camera broke... yes, I am totally bummed about that! See you soon and Happy Labor Day Weekend!!! Woo Hoo for a short week!!!
