Long time, No Talk!!!

My, my, my, its been entirely too long. Its almost been a year since I've blogged... About this time a year ago, I found myself kind of bored from blogging so, I took a break.. a long break, life got busy, my plate always seemed too full to start blogging again but I am going to give it another go. I am excited to start blogging again and share with you some of our day to day adventures. Let's rewind a few months and start with a first for the Cox family… Dance Competition!

At dance enrollment this year, I decided to let the girls try out "Tiny Training" - basically, its the first step for competitive dancing… Don't worry, its nothing like Abbey Lee Dance Moms. We go one night a week for a hour and a half… then L&L go for another 30 minutes to hip hop.

*The Competition*

Arrival to the competition, no nerves… let's face it, they are 4 1/2 they have no idea what a "dance competition" is and I feel no need to let it be anything but fun… at least for now (I joke, I joke…maybe).

Let's talk about this full out hair and make-up stuff… it's serious people, I'm talking no nail polish, red lipstick, fake eyelashes, and a slicked back bun… NO wisps (you know those little hairs that fly around when they aren't glued down to your head)! Luckily, sisters love some make-up (minus the fake eye-lashes) so, in our household, hair and make-up are no problem, they ask me on the daily to wear lipstick so this was actually a treat for them.

Let's talk about the cutest thing ever, how precious is this prayer circle… point your toes and pray… Adorable!

Dance friends, I love the friendships that my girls are forming, its so sweet to watch them build relationships and care for others.

The red glasses make this costume, SO cute. L&L take hip hop after their 1 1/2 hours of Tiny Training... Honestly, its a little too much - next year we will probably just do the tap, jazz, and ballet tiny training classes. It's been fun though and they have enjoyed it, I can just tell it's too much!

Overall, I would say the competition was a success. It's likely that my Livi girl will want to perform solo's one day, she often times makes up her own moves while on stage and prefers free style dance over uniformed team dancing (lol) and Londyn (as you can guess) did what she was taught! It was great, I loved watching them have fun and I beamed with pride as my girls danced away!!!
