Nature!!!

Last weekend we headed down to Sulphur to visit Nanna, Ray, Auntie M, and Kenzie. We decided to go hiking and we had a wonderful time. It was the perfect temperature and the girls had an absolute blast. They started out a little cranky but once they were able to get out and explore themselves they were sold. Looks as if these girls are even more outdoorsy than me!!!

There was lots of hand holding...
melts my heart!!!

What else have we been up to...

Well, we celebrated Valentine's Day!!!!
I was SO excited about these...
But my girls were more interested in these...

We have also been doing lots of cooking!!!

And playing SO much dress up in mommies clothes, and shoes!!!
Livi is obsessed with "Wheels on the Bus" she sings it, knows the hand motions, and now reads the book!!! Of course, I love it!!!
Livi usually unwillingly shares her book with sissy and waits patiently for her to lose interest in it. Oh the value in sharing, we are leaning a lot about it these days!
We have enjoyed playing outside this weekend. We entertained ourselves with sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and the slide!

Have a wonderful week!!!

Melt Snow Melt!!!

Over here at the Cox home we are SO ready for warm weather!!! The snow is slowly melting and the girls finally got to go outside. The girls loved soaking up the sun while playing in the snow.

Enjoy the pics and the beautiful weather!!!

Let Us Paint!!!

In honor of the snow, we painted... for the first time!!!

I had the most difficult time choosing between the watercolors or the fingerpaint so I got both. The girls preferred painting with the watercolors, they don't really like to "get dirty!" I was so impressed at how well they did, they quickly brushed the colors onto the paper and loved dipping their brush into the water.
 The workstation!
Painting Away!!!

Since the watercolor painting went so well I thought hey, why not try out finger-painting. It only made since that I put the paint in the bathtub and let them go crazy (I borrowed this idea from Schrag, thank you) and well...they hated it, until I turned on the water. I am not sure if they were cold or if the concept was entirely to foreign... we will try this again and maybe finger-painting will grow on them.

Love my snow days with my girls, oh these days are so precious and this is by far one of my most favorite ages yet!!!

When I see pictures like this I envision this most beautiful friendship and unconditional love that my girls will have with one another forever. Believe me, they can fight it out and bully the heck out of one another but, more often than not, these girls love on one another, shower each other with hugs and kisses and they have this unbelievably incredible relationship that makes my heart sing.
