Blessed!

The world lost a great man today. My Grandpa Dave passed away this morning. This is my first grandparent to lose so I am feeling a variety of emotions. Tonight my heart was hurting. The selfish part of me wishes that he were still here and would have been able to push through but I understand that it was God's will for him to let go. For the last several years he was in a lot of pain and I know that he is now in a much better place and resting peacefully. I am also grieving for my Grandma Donna, they would have been married 59 years this week and I can not fathom the emotions that she is feeling. She was an incredible wife and caretaker to him over the years and I know he loved her so dearly. My Grandpa Dave will forever be missed and never forgotten. All My Love!

The weekend before he passed.

1 year ago with my Livi!
I love you Grandpa Dave!

Halloween is quickly approaching and last night we were able to visit those precious little Pi Beta Phi's for the Annual Alumni Nightmare on Elm Street Trick-or-Treat. The girls were ALL over the place. I think that they thoroughly enjoyed their first trip to the Pi Phi house, I know many more are in store for them (wink, wink)!
Running to the Pi Phi!!!
Up the Pi Phi stairs to Trick or Treat!
Just making ourself comfortable...
 Someone gave us a treat...
Painting our Pumpkins!!!

 My sweet little legacies.
This is a very special place to me and
I hope one day my girls find their
home away from home here and
have the incredible experience that I had.
Not to mention, this is where I met their daddy!

Projects at Home...

Here are a few pics from the weekend! Enjoy~
Morning Milk on Mommy
Different or Alike???
I often tell you how different these girls are right?
Here is the proof...
 Livi dives into her cake.
Forces it into her mouth and makes
a complete and utter mess.
Londyn keeps her cake nicely together.
She would prefer you spoon it to her,
she would rather not get her hands dirty!
Reading with their Kenzie!!!
Play -Doh!!!
So it may not be developmentally appropriate but with a little supervision we made it work. After giving the girls a cookie sheet (this will eventually help them recognize the Play-Doh boundaries) and hot pink play-doh they had a ball. How do I know? Well, the room was silent. One indicator of children being fully engaged can be silence. They were fully engrossed in manipulating and exploring the play-doh in front of them. They smelled it, attempted to taste it, used their excellent fine motor skills to manipulate it, and most importantly had a blast with it!!! We will frequently play with the play-doh! It also gave me some time to make dinner.

 Smelling it!!!
Post Dinner Fun - Outside Time!!!
This is one of my girls favorite places, our backyard. They Play, Play, Play!!!!

I adore my little loves!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your grandpa, but how neat is it that you got to see him just last weekend?

The girls are so cute and growing like weeds! I hope they enjoyed the Pi Beta, and I hope they get to have a wonderful experience there some day, just like we did.

stay strong, sister! I'll pray for your family this week.

Natalie, I'm so sorry about your grandfather. It's so painful to lose people we love so much. My grandmother died eleven years ago and I just visited her grave this past weekend and miss her tremendously. I'm so glad he was able to share the joy of your girls while he was here.

I have never seen pictures of the girls before. They are absolutely beautiful and so, so precious! Congratulations! Your love for them is so clear and they are as blessed as you are!
