Merry Christmas!!!

I absolutely loved Christmas morning with my sweet little family! Londyn & Livy got some wonderful gifts from Santa and mommy & daddy too. Londyn & Livy gave Allen and I the perfect Christmas gift - a FULL nights rest. Neither of them woke up and they slept in until 8 - this was a wonderful gift! Thank you sweeties! After they awoke, we had a feeding, opened gifts, and played with the girls. Now, I had to come blog, Livy on my lap, Londyn in the jumper, and Allen playing some playstation! Such a nice relaxed morning. Today we will go over to memaw's home for lunch, dirty santa, and gift opening.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas morning!
Now I am back to the living room to spend time with my family and watch the Christmas Special on lifechurch.tv at 11:00 - if you can't make it to a service today you should definitely watch it online through lifechurch.tv! Happy Birthday Jesus!!!

Christmas Eve!

What a wonderful Christmas Eve! First, we all opened our Christmas pajamas (they aren't really Christmassy but we can wear them year round). Then we read a Christmas book, had some cereal, put out milk and cookies for Santa, and rocked the sweet babies to sleep. What a wonderful Christmas Eve - very different than last years.

Miss Londyn and Livy Grace were super excited about their pj's!!!

Daddy

and Mommy too!

A little snack for Santa...

And off to bed for me and you!

I had to put this picture up - look how tall the snow is compared to Allen's leg!

Let it Snow!!!

I am soooo excited about the snow, especially for the girls first Christmas!!! It is pouring down like crazy and piling up high in our front yard. I really wanted to take the girls out to see what they thought about it but I knew that wasn't a good idea so.... we opted to check it out from indoors. Their reaction... just stare - Lu put her hands on the glass door a few times but they mainly just looked at it. I did take Livy out to the garageto get a picture from that angle and she quickly turned her head and squinted... sooo cold mom! Hopefully next year we will have a white Christmas and we can go sledding - I love to sled down the hills!!!

What do you thinks babies???
Little closer view of the back porch... it is crazy tall!
So curious...
From the front porch...

And when there's no place to go... Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

Feeling Yuck!!!

So last night Londyn was not feeling well, I consistently checked her temperature and it ranged from 100.8 to 100.5. Surprisingly, I didn't panic (I've gotten so much better at staying calm) I checked it each hour last night and then in the morning and it went up to 101.5 so... I took her in. Good news, lungs and ears couldn't be any clearer. It's just a cold and she has a red throat - no antibiotics just tylenol and zyrtec. We are home now and she is feeling better. Here are some pre-doctor pics...

Londyn - just not feeling like herself....

Livy Grace- seriously, do I have to go... I feel fine!

Headed out on this very cold and white snowy morning!!!

Be sure to stay bundled up today and safe traveling!!!
Love~

The Gift of Giving!

Each year Allen and I always adopt a family and provide toys for their family. This year we definitely wanted to continue the tradition of giving with our girls. As a mother, I hope to raise two young women who always give, with their whole heart! In our dedication prayer on Sunday, this was one thing that I prayed we would instill in them. This year we bought for two babies, both girls and both 8 months old... Ironic, I know (considering that our girls were 7 1/2 mo. old). These girls are foster children and are in separate families. I hope that this year they will not only receive the gifts from us but will also be placed in loving homes with people who truly care and love them. My heart breaks for children who are not able to grow up with a consistent family, I am a huge believer of adoption and I would love to adopt one day - can you imagine giving that gift to a child? Being loved, unconditionally, forever and ever Amen! As of now, I have my hands full with sweet Livy and Londyn but we will see where the road leads...

I urge each of you to remember what Christmas is truly about and try to not get caught up in the worldly ways. I stole this verse from another blog...

Jesus came that we may have life - and have it more abundantly! John 10:1

Kid Christmas Party!

Yesterday, we threw a Kid's Christmas Party at our home. The kiddo's had a blast! It was pretty much set up like a mini classroom - two different tables with several crafts they could choose to do. We also did a book exchange so everyone left with a book and a small bag of goodies from Londyn & Livy! Hopefully we will do this next year and each year it will get even more fun! Enjoy the pics!
