Kid Christmas Party!

Yesterday, we threw a Kid's Christmas Party at our home. The kiddo's had a blast! It was pretty much set up like a mini classroom - two different tables with several crafts they could choose to do. We also did a book exchange so everyone left with a book and a small bag of goodies from Londyn & Livy! Hopefully we will do this next year and each year it will get even more fun! Enjoy the pics!

Dedication!

This past Sunday, December 20, 2009 was a very special day for our family. We had the girls dedicated! We believe that it is important to give the girls back to God just as he so graciously gave them to us. Allen and I took a class and watched a few tutorials about raising children to become fully devoted followers of christ. It was a wonderful experience.

The verse we chose for the girls is: Proverbs 3: 5-7
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go, he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from Evil!

Her There Santa, Nice to Meet You!

The girls finally met Santa. Honestly, they weren't too interested... They took a few looks at him and then quickly focused on something else - the people all around! The girls are definitely on his nice list this year, I let him know how lucky I am to have two super sweet baby girls.

Not too interested here...

What Mom?

See you in a few days Santa ~ Happy Holidays!

We are getting sooo BIG!

Grocery shopping is an extreme chore with two. You either take the stroller or have two baskets. Plus you get stopped by a million people (which I love). Well, as the girls are getting bigger and stronger they are able to hold themselves up pretty well. This means they get to sit in the shopping cart - much easier for mom and dad. Londyn and Livy LOVED sitting in the cart and looking at everything, we probably got stopped twice as much as usual (which doesn't bother us a bit). It was super fun and a major milestone for us.

Happy Shopping!!!

Christmas Traditions!

I love Christmas lights. Every year, Allen and I love to drive around Chesapeake (my old stomping ground) and look at the lights. Then, we love to drive around Nichols Hills and view all the beautiful lights! So, of course this year we took the girls. They peacefully slept in the backseat while we oo'd and aaw'd at the beautiful light. Here are a few.

Chesapeake Lights

This tree is right outside of the building I used to work in - Geoscience!

This is our favorite house to look at in Nichols Hills - it is a sight to see. The picture doesn't do it justice - I swear I have NEVER seen more lights, it is awesome! I can only imagine their electric bill...

Auntie Chels!!!

Auntie Chels stayed the night last week and she enjoyed the early morning feeding... Great Birth Control!!!

Riding in the Back Seat of a Cady....

Funny Story... I am driving home from work and memaw calls... we got a car for the girls! I am like, oh how cute one they can sit in and ride around the house in it when they start walking. She infoms me that, no - it's a real car... your car and my car are just too uncomfortable for us to drive around with the girls, it's so hard to get in and out of. So... pa had a friend who was selling his car and we bought it for the girls. It needs to stay at your house! I know, I know... 7 months old and they have a car... well at least when we decide to sale it we can put the money towards their college fund!

Here is Londyn and Livy's White Cady that they so comfortably ride in!

TeeTH!!!

About 2 months ago (5 1/2 months) Londyn's teeth started poking through. Well now she is 7 months and she has 3 teeth that have already pushed through and 1 that is seriously trying. When Lu cuts teeth she is a bit cranky but not to bad, she also makes the most hilarious face when she is itching her gums. Here are a few pics of when her teeth were just coming through. It takes serious skill to get pictures like these... Happy Teething!!!

Livy's teeth are almost through...

Merry Christmas, From Our Home to Yours!

I hope each of you has a wonderful holiday season! This is an extra special Christmas for us, our first Christmas as parents. I remember this time last year, I had just started feeling little flutters in my tummy and I would tell Allen... Just think, this time next year we will have two sweet babies. Wow! It is so much more than I ever dreamed! We love these sweet girls so much, I hope to make Christmas time as special for them as it always has been for me. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing a little piece of our holiday season with you. Have a very merry weekend!
