Long time, No Talk!!!

My, my, my, its been entirely too long. Its almost been a year since I've blogged... About this time a year ago, I found myself kind of bored from blogging so, I took a break.. a long break, life got busy, my plate always seemed too full to start blogging again but I am going to give it another go. I am excited to start blogging again and share with you some of our day to day adventures. Let's rewind a few months and start with a first for the Cox family… Dance Competition!

At dance enrollment this year, I decided to let the girls try out "Tiny Training" - basically, its the first step for competitive dancing… Don't worry, its nothing like Abbey Lee Dance Moms. We go one night a week for a hour and a half… then L&L go for another 30 minutes to hip hop.

*The Competition*

Arrival to the competition, no nerves… let's face it, they are 4 1/2 they have no idea what a "dance competition" is and I feel no need to let it be anything but fun… at least for now (I joke, I joke…maybe).

Let's talk about this full out hair and make-up stuff… it's serious people, I'm talking no nail polish, red lipstick, fake eyelashes, and a slicked back bun… NO wisps (you know those little hairs that fly around when they aren't glued down to your head)! Luckily, sisters love some make-up (minus the fake eye-lashes) so, in our household, hair and make-up are no problem, they ask me on the daily to wear lipstick so this was actually a treat for them.

Let's talk about the cutest thing ever, how precious is this prayer circle… point your toes and pray… Adorable!

Dance friends, I love the friendships that my girls are forming, its so sweet to watch them build relationships and care for others.

The red glasses make this costume, SO cute. L&L take hip hop after their 1 1/2 hours of Tiny Training... Honestly, its a little too much - next year we will probably just do the tap, jazz, and ballet tiny training classes. It's been fun though and they have enjoyed it, I can just tell it's too much!

Overall, I would say the competition was a success. It's likely that my Livi girl will want to perform solo's one day, she often times makes up her own moves while on stage and prefers free style dance over uniformed team dancing (lol) and Londyn (as you can guess) did what she was taught! It was great, I loved watching them have fun and I beamed with pride as my girls danced away!!!

Time...

I was going through some old pictures of L&L and I had one of those momma moments where I was so incredibly happy yet sad, all at the same time. My heart felt so full but my eyes were filled with tears. Where has the time gone and how in the world am I about to have two four year olds? I love this time of year. I love the spring weather, the changing of seasons, but mostly, I love that it is time to start planning the girls birthday. I am one of those crazy birthday party people, and I'm well aware that it is probably a bit ridiculous, but I love an over the top birthday party.

Each year, when the party planning starts, I always start reflecting on the previous year and how much my girls have changed. It seems absolutely impossible that almost 4 short years ago, at this time, I was almost 32 weeks pregnant. I blinked and now I have two four year olds that our both full of personality, completely different personalities at that. I am sure that this won't be my only sappy birthday post - so consider yourself warned. I hope everyone is having a great week.

Here are a few pictures of my sweet girls, look at those cheeks!!!

Look at them now - Like I said, I blinked and they turned 4!!!

Probably my favorite picture right now.
Before school this week, Livia was "teaching" Londyn how to dance.
It was precious!
Happy Friday Friends!!!!

Easter!!!

We had a great Easter this year. The girls are at such a great age, they really enjoy and understand the holidays. We spend every Easter with Allen's family, the whole family gets together and all of the kids have so much fun!!!

Get Ready... Easter Overload
We had to start off with dyeing our Easter Eggs...
Yes, Livia lives in her Aurora dress!!!

Easter Egg Dyeing, Take Two - They took forever to take color.

We also had to stuff candy eggs for Nana's!

SO excited that they got their princess shoes in their Easter basket.

Fun, Fun, Fun at Nana's!!!

Love these precious girls!!!

~Here are a few random pictures~

Silly!!!

Patiently waiting for our movie to start!!! Oh creativity....

Picking out flowers for her flower pots - she was super excited and very particular.

The girls are the very best of friends, 90% of the time they get along wonderfully. Don't get me wrong, they can fight it out. But, it melts my heart how much love they have for one another.
Love my girls and I am thankful that they have such a special relationship!!!

~Have a wonderful week~

Sunshine!

Despite the snowstorm we are due to get later this week, our spring break weather has been quite beautiful.

On Tuesday, we went to this super cool park downtown, it is right outside the Devon energy building. You can't miss it, tons of people, and really modern/abstract climbing equipment.

Right when we drove by, the girls immediately begged to stop. I had one of those moments where I almost said maybe later, and kept driving, but I remembered something I read on Pinterest about saying yes more than no, maybe, or later (see Pinterest is good for something).  So, we stopped and the girls had a blast!

Hope you are all having a fantastic spring break!!!
